THE HEART
Pietra Rossa is located in the Sotoportego della Corte Nova, the place where the plague of 1630 came to a halt.
The Castello district is the heart of the city and a destination for mindful tourism.
The project is by Andrea Lorenzon, who, after ten years with the restaurant CoVino,
opened in 2023 a new chapter in Venetian dining.
Pietra Rossa is a sustainable restaurant and a place of hospitality with a large inner garden, where every guest can experience Venetian cuisine reinterpreted and rooted in the local territory.
Flavors are authentic thanks to the use of a Kamado Pro grill.
From the island of Sant’Erasmo, less than one nautical mile away, come zero-kilometer vegetables through the Osti in Orto project, to which Pietra Rossa adheres.
Ethically raised meat, fish from the Upper Adriatic, and Slow Food presidia
complete the selection of raw ingredients.
The wine list favors natural wines, the result of spontaneous fermentations and artisanal ethics.
Regions and producers are at the core of the selection.
Labels are chosen according to a precise criterion: healthy grapes and rigor in the cellar.
Pietra Rossa is part of the Associazione Ristoranti della Buona Accoglienza, a network of restaurateurs committed to the use of seasonal ingredients from local producers and to the protection of Venetian culinary tradition reinterpreted in a contemporary way.
Venice is alive.
